The derivative of $e^(x+1)$ is $e^(x+1)$

There are several ways to see this, but here's one way:

$e^(x+1) = e^x*e^1 = e^x * e$

So $d/(dx) e^(x+1) = d/(dx) (e^x * e) = e^x * e = e^(x+1)$
