By using Pythagoras:

Distance on the $x-y$ plane is $sqrt((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)$

Then the distance including the $z$ plane is
$sqrt((z_2-z_1)^2 +(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)$

Just use substitution to solve.
