x-intercept is 1/2

You have them immediately because the equation is in standard form y =mx+ c where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept!

Could not be simpler..., just recognise what it is and voila!

YOu can also fine the x-intecept by making y = 0.

0 = -2x + 1 rArr 2x = 1 rArr x = 1/2
