How do you find the intercepts for 2x-4y=12?

You find the y-intercept by setting x=0 and vice versa.
But you may first divide everything by 2

Explanation:

->x-2y=6

y-intercept:
0-4y=12->y=12/-4=-3->(0,-3)

x-intercept:
x-2*0=6->x=6->(6,0)
