x-intercept is 54 and y-intercept is 5.

Explanation:

For finding y-intercept put x=0, which gives y=5

and for finding x-intercept put y=0, which gives x=54

Hence y-intercept is 5 and x-intercept is 54.

Alternatively if y-intercept is a and x-intercept is b, the equation of line is given by xa+yb=1.

For converting 4x+y=5 into this form let us divide each side by 5, which gives

4x5+y5=1 or

x54+y5=1 and hence

x-intercept is 54 and y-intercept is 5.
