You have to let one be 0

To do find the intercept you have to let one of them = 0 and do algebra

For the X intercept let y = 0
For the Y intercept let X = 0

X Intercept

$2x+5y-10=0$
$2x+5(0)-10=0$
$2x-10+10=0+10$
$2x$ $/2=10/2$
$x = 5$

Do the same for y and you are done!
