How do you graph using the intercepts for -4x-15y=-17?

Draw a graph, plot the two intercepts, and draw a line through the two points...

graph{y = 17/15-(4 x)/15 [-10, 10, -5, 5]}

my first time using this graph thing, hope it helps :)

Explanation:

To find the intercepts, we plug in zero for x and y, respectively.
First we'll do x...
let x=0,

-4(0) - 15y = -17

- 15y = -17

y = 17/15 when x=0

this gives us the point (0, 17/15)

Now, let y=0

-4x - 15(0) = -17

- 4x = -17

x = 17/4 when y=0

this gives us the point (17/4 , 0)
