Put zero in for both x and y solve for the other variable and then graph ( X, 0) and (0,Y) Draw a line between the two intercepts.

Explanation:

7 xx 0 + 4y = 17

4y = 17

(4y)/4 = 17/4

y = 17/4 or 4 1/4

7x + 4 xx 0 = 17

7x = 17

(7x) /7 = 17/7

x = 17/7

Plot ( 0, 17/4) and ( 17/7 ,0)

Connect the two points.
