Multiplication is simply REPEATED ADDITION

Explanation:

For example:
$5 \cdot 3 = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15$ $5 * 3 = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15$

$7 \cdot 2 = 7 + 7 = 14$ $7 * 2 = 7 + 7 = 14$

We can also multiply numbers with decimals, but the concept of repeated addition remains the same!

For example:
$4 \cdot 3.5 = 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 \cdot 0.5 = 12 + 2 = 14$ $4 * 3.5 = 4 + 4 + 4 + 4*0.5 = 12 + 2 = 14$
