$=x^(7/3)$

The square only applies to the bracket - multiply the indices..

$x(x^(4/3))$

Now multiply by the $x$ outside, remember the index is 1.
Add the indices

$x^(4/3+1)" " 1= 3/3$

$=x^(7/3)$
