How do you solve -3p = 5p - 43p=5p4?

First, transfer 5p5p to LHS as we want all variables on one side and all numbers on the other,
while transferring, if the number is in (+) it will be in (-) which is the case here,
so, the first step will be,
-3p-5p=-43p5p=4
Subtracting -3p3p from -5p5p
-8p=-48p=4
The minuses(-) cut each other,
cancel(-)8p=cancel(-)4
8p=4
4 is divided by the 8 on LHS, it will be divided because it is in multiplication here(just like the upper case scenario, it always inverses)
p=4/8
p=1/2
or,
p=0.5
