3 (x-1) = 2 (x + 3)

3.x + 3 (-1) = 2.x + 2.3

#3x + (-3) = 2x +6#

#3x -3 = 2x +6#

for combining like terms either you can subtract #2x# from the Left Hand Side ( LHS) or subtract #3x# from the Right Hand Side ( RHS).

#3x -3 -3x = 2x + 6 -3x#
