$3x + 4y = 2$ , Eqn (1)

$2x + 3y = 1$ , Eqn (2)

$6x + 8y = 4, Eqn (1) * 2$

$6x + 9y = 3, Eqn (2) * 3$

Subtracting one from the other,

$6x + 8y - 6x - 9y = 4 - 3$

$-y = 1$ or $y = -1$

Substituting value of y in Eqn (1),

$3x + 4*-1 = 2$

$3x - 4 = 2$

$3x = 4 + 2 = 6$

$x = 6 / 3 = 2$
