The solutions for the system of equations is
color(blue)(x=2,y=5

Explanation:

y=color(blue)(x+3 ............equation (1)

2x+2y=14.....equation (2)

We can solve through substitution , by substituting equation (1) in (2) to find x:

2x+2(color(blue)(x+3) )=14
2x+2x = 14-6
4x=8
color(blue)(x=2

Now, we substitute x in equation 1 to find y
y=x+3
y=2+3
color(blue)(y=5
