Here x=-2&y=0

Explanation:

we have two equations
let x-3y=-2 ...............eq( 1)
and 4x-2y=-8..............eq(2)
Now we have to subsitute or eliminate either x or y
let us eliminate y
now multiply eq(1) with 2 and eq(2) with 3,we will get
2x-6y=-4...eq(1) and 12x-6y=-24....eq(2)
now subtract eq(1) from eq(2)
we will get
10x=-20 we see that it is in a linear form solving x we get
x=-2
putting y in eq(1) and eq(2)
we get y=0.
