If you meant this question as displayed
color(white)("XXXXX")(sqrt(y)^2) = y
and no fractional exponent is involved ((3)(sqrty^2) = 3y)

Similarly if you meant (3)(sqrt(y^2))
color(white)("XXXXX")(3)(sqrt(y^2)) = abs(3y)

Perhaps you wanted: root(3)(y)^2
color(white)("XXXXX")= y^(2/3)

or root(3)(y^2)
color(white)("XXXXX")= abs(y)^(2/3)
