Using the primary square root of 5:
$\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}} = 0.447214$ $1/sqrt(5) = 0.447214$

Explanation:

There really is not a simple way to evaluate $\sqrt{5}$ $sqrt(5)$ other than by using a calculator (or some similar technology).

$\sqrt{5} \approx 2.236068$ $sqrt(5)~~2.236068$ (using calculator)

$\frac{1}{\sqrt{5}} \approx 0.447214$ $1/sqrt(5) ~~0.447214$ (this could have been done by hand, but I had the calculator out already)
