$x = 9/10 = 0.9$

There are several methods for solving this equation
In this case I have worked with the fractions and removed them by cross=multiplying at the end.

Move the like terms to the same side.

$1/(5x)+1/4 = 1/(4x) -1/4$

$1/4+ 1/4 = 1/(4x) -1/(5x)" "1/4 > 1/5$ hence move to RHS

$1/2 =(5+4)/(20x)$

$1/2 = 9/(20x)" "$ cross multiply

$20x = 18$

$x = 18/20$

$x = 9/10 = 0.9$
