$d/dx(x/2) = 1/2$

$d/dx(x/2) = d/dx(1/2 x) = 1/2 d/dx(x) = 1/2*(1) = 1/2$

If you really want to use the quotient rule, it's

$d/dx(x/2) = (d/dx(x)*(2)-x*d/dx(2))/2^2$

$= ((1) * (2)-x * (0))/4$

$= 2/4 = 1/2$
