$d=(a-c)x+b$

Given: $ax+b=cx+d$

Subtract $cx$ from both sides $-> ax+b -cx =cx+d-cx$

$ax+b-cx = d$

Group terms in $x$ :

$ax-cx+b =d$
$(a-c)x + b=d$

$:. d=(a-c)x+b$
